Megan Evans

Megan Evans, a senior at Princeton High School, has been selected to serve as a Senate Page for the North Carolina General Assembly.

The week-long program provides high school students the opportunity to become involved in the legislative procedure of the state. Pages assist members of the General Assembly throughout the week by performing various duties including delivering messages, materials, and documents, answering telephone calls, and running errands in the Senate Chamber during daily sessions.

In addition, students are able to observe firsthand the production of laws and gain insight on the significance of the General Assembly. Evans will serve as a Senate Page for Senator Brent Jackson from June 22-25, 2015 and will reside with a host family in Raleigh.

“Megan is truly one of the young people in our world who wants to make a significant contribution to all mankind,” said Evan’s Health Science teacher Pat Deese. “She is an inspiration and a special young lady.”
