When I was asked if I would like to volunteer for the R.E.A.D program, I said sure. I didn't realize the impact that it would have on my life. I went in thinking I was just helping, giving back, and thinking what else was I doing with that time off. I was wrong, it was more than all that combined. I met some amazing people and realized that I was there for more than just helping those kids to the best of my ability. I saw the impact on the kids and the role you play in their lives; therefore it brought a greater joy to know you contributed to a good cause. I look forward to volunteering again and see great success for the R.E.A.D program.
